The Position

A Trust Administration Officer is responsible for the efficient and profitable administration of a number of trusts and companies. In addition, the Trust Officer is expected to provide administrative, technical, product and client related support to Relationship Managers of the Private Bank.

  • Responding to requests from clients, outside professionals  and RMs for execution of transactions or provision of information and clarification

  • Responding to requests from  accounting and control departments for information and clarification about accounts or related administartive issues

  • Preparation and presentation of periodic reviews of trusts and companies to ensure that they are being administered in accordance with company policies, jurisdictional and legal requirements

  • Maintaining fiduciary documentary files according to guidelines and procedures so as to ensure that legal, fiduciary and record keeping responsibilities are performed and that there is evidence thereof

  • Maintaining the profitability of the corporation through timely and accurate rendition, collection and reporting of fee billings and through identification of opportunities to charge activity fees

  • Understanding the basics of trust and company law and being able to recognise and analyse basic legal and accounting issues, to apply basic legal and accounting principles to such issues and to

     seek decisions, directions or guidance from the Team Leader or Management

     

Your Profile

  • Degree educated, or professional qualification in Law, Business, Accounting and related background
  • Two years or more experience working in Trust, Banking, Legal and Commercial related areas
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills - client service oriented
  • sound knowledge of fundamental trust law, company law and administrative practice
  • Ability to identify and anticipate risks occurring in the day to day administration
  • Ability to analyse and evaluate basic investment summaries, accounting statements, banking and banking products related documentation
  • Fundamental knowledge of banking products and how they are used in the overall management and administration of wealth
  • basic understanding and working knowledge of accounting concepts and their applications
  • Fluency in English, any other additional languages are welcome.
